1
How often should I check roof/window seals?
- Check roof seals twice a year: once in spring and once in the fall and reseal as necessary.
For window seals, check at least once a year. This will prevent water from coming into your RV.
2
When should I re-pack bearings?
- Bearings should be repacked (inspected) at 12,000 miles or once a year (whichever occurs first) to eliminate oil contamination and ensure proper operation.
3
How often do I re-torque wheels?
- Re-torque your wheels before every trip to make sure your RV wheels do not come loose or fall off while you are travelling.
4
What do I do with my batteries in the winter?
- Make sure your batteries are fully charged and store out of the weather during the winter to prevent freezing and to increase the life of the battery.
5
Why is it important to level my trailer?
- Levelling your trailer ensures proper operation of appliances (fridge) and your slide outs. If your RV is not level, it can cause your fridge to lock and your slide to creep out.
6
Do I need to grease anything on my slide?
- Yes. Lube the exterior rims with (slide lube) dry graphite and lube the wiper seals with silicone spray. Also, you’ll need to do a wiper seal treatment once a year. This will prevent your slide from binding and creating excess wear on your motor.
